حياة رجل عجوز في القرية كان يعيش رجل عجوز في القرية . لقد كان من أكثر الناس حزناً وألماً في العالم. القرية كلها كانت لا تفضل العامل معه. كان دائمًا مكتأب ، وكان يشكي حالة دوماً وكان دائمًا في حالة سيئة . فكلما استمر في حياته ، ازدادت تعاستة وتسممت كلماته . وكان يتجنبه الناس لأن حزنه أصبح معديا. كان من غير الطبيعي أن تكون فرحان وانت معه . لقد احدث شعور بالتعاسة لدى الآخرين . لكن في أحدى الأيام ، عندما وصل للثمانين من عمره ، حدث شيء لا يصدقه احد . على الفور بدأ كل الناس في سماع إشاعة: “ان هذا الرجل العجوز اصبح سعيد في يوم ما ، اصبح لا يشتكي من أي شيء ، ومبتسم دوماً ، وحتى وجهه مرح”. احتمع اناس القرية بأكملها . وسألوا الرجل العجوز: ماذا حدث لك؟ “لا شيء مختلف . ثمانون عاما كنت أطارد السعادة بعيداً عني ، وكانت عديمة الفائدة لي . ثم قررت أن أعيش بدون هذا السعي لابعادها عني وأن أستمتع بالحياة. لهذا السبب أنا سعيد الآن “.

An old man used to live in the village. He was one of the saddest and most painful people in the world. The whole village did not prefer working with him. He was always depressed, always complaining and always in bad shape. The longer he continued his life, the more miserable he became and his words poisoned. People avoided him because his grief became contagious. It was unnatural to be hilarious with him. It creates a feeling of unhappiness in others. But one day, when he turned 80, something unbelievable happened. Immediately all people began to hear a rumor: “This old man became happy one day, he did not complain about anything, always smiling, and even his face was funny.” The people of the whole village met. The Dog and the Wolf
A gaunt Wolf was almost dead with hunger when he happened to meet a House-dog who was passing by. ‘Ah, Cousin,’ said the Dog. ‘I knew how it would be; your irregular life will soon be the ruin of you. Why do you not work steadily as I do, and get your food regularly given to you?’ ‘I would have no objection,’ said the Wolf, ‘if I could only get a place.’ ‘I will easily arrange that for you,’ said the Dog; ‘come with me to my master and you shall share my work.’ So the Wolf and the Dog went towards the town together. On the way there the Wolf noticed that the hair on a certain part of the Dog’s neck was very much worn away, so he asked him how that had come about. ‘Oh, it is nothing,’ said the Dog. ‘That is only the place where the collar is put on at night to keep me chained up; it chafes a bit, but one soon gets used to it.’ ‘Is that all?’ said the Wolf. ‘Then good-bye to you, Master Dog.’ Better starve free than be a fat slave.
الذئب والكلب
يحكي أن في يوم من الايام كان هناك ذئب ضعيف هزيل قد غلبه الجوع حتي كاد أن يهلك من شدة الجوع والعطش، وذات يوم بينما هو جالساً علي جانب الطريق متعباً لا يقوي علي الحراك شاهد كلباً أليفاً يمر في الطريق، لاحظ الكلب حالة الذئب فاقترب منه بحذر وقال له : آه يا ابن العم، انا اعرف انك تعاني من الضعف والجوع، وحياتك متقلبة للغاية وغير مستقرة وهذا ما سيؤدي يوماً الي هلاكك، لماذا لا تعمل مثلي بشكل ثابت حتي تجد من يقدم لك الطعام كل يوم بانتظام وهكذا تعيش في سلام وامان مرتاح البال .
اجابه الذئب : ليس لدي اي اعتراض أن اعمل واكسب من قوت يومي ولكنني احتاج فقط الي مأوي، فقال له الكلب : يمكنني أن اؤمن لك هذا المأوي بكل سهولة، تعال معي الآن الي سيدي وسوف تشاركني في عملي .
وبالفعل ذهب الاثنان سوياً بتجاة القرية التي يسكن بها صاحب الكلب، وفي الطريق لاحظ الذئب أن الشعر في منطقة محددة علي رقبة الكلب كان تالفاً للغاية وممزقاً بشدة، فسأله عن السبب فأجابه الكلب في حزن : إنه كذلك بسبب الطوق الذي يبقيه صاحبي في رقبتي طوال الليل حتي اظل مقيداً، انه مزعج قليلاً ولكن سرعان ما ستعتاد عليه وستتقبل الامر بمرور الوقت، هنا توقف الذئب عن السير والتفت الي الكلب قائلاً في جديه : إذا وداعاً ايها السيد، انا افضل ان اموت جوعاً وانا حر، فهذا افضل لي ان اكون عبداً سميناً .
