ليلة الفصل والتقدير فهي ليلة تُفصَّل فيها الأقدار، وتتنزّل من اللوح المحفوظ إلى صُحُف الكتبَة من الملائكة، وهذه الأقدار تتضمّن أقدار العباد من أمور الدنيا؛ كالرزق، والأجل، والحوادث، ونحوها، قال -تعالى-: (فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ).
ليلة التنزيل إذ إنّها الليلة التي نزل فيها القرآن الكريم، قال -تعالى-: (إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ).
ليلة الغفران فهي ليلة تُغفر فيها ذنوب من قامها بإخلاصٍ لله -تعالى-، قال النبيّ -صلّى الله عليه وسلّم-: (مَن قَامَ لَيْلَةَ القَدْرِ إيمَانًا واحْتِسَابًا، غُفِرَ له ما تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنْبِهِ).
ليلة الخير إذ ذكر الله -تعالى- منزلتها، وفضل قيامها، والأجر والثواب المُترتِّب على العبادة والدعاء فيها؛ إذ يُضاعف الله -سبحانه- أجر الأعمال الصالحة في هذه الليلة، فأجر العبادة فيها خير من أجر العمل في ألف شهر، قال -تعالى-: (لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ).
