• ملعب تشامارتين: يقع في المنطقة الشماليّة من العاصمة مدريد، وتمّ افتتاحه رسمياً في شهر أيار من عام 1924م؛ حينما استضاف ريال مدريد نادي نيوكاسل يونايتد بمباراة ودّية انتهت بفوز ريال مدريد بنتيجة 3-2، وخضع النادي لعمليات ترميم وتوسيع، وتمّت إعادة افتتاحه رسمياً عام 1939م وبسعة جماهيريّة أكبر من قبل؛ حيث أصبح يتّسع إلى ما يُقارب 25 ألف متفرج.

تاريخ ريال مدريد

تعرفت مدينة مدريد على كرة القدم عن طريق أساتذة وطلاب مركز «مؤسسة التعليم الحرة» التعليمي (بالإسبانية: Institución Libre de Enseñanza)‏، والذين كانوا خريجي جامعتي أوكسفورد وكامبريدج في بريطانيا.

• أسس هؤلاء الأساتذة والطلاب فريقاً في المدينة عام 1897 وأطلقوا عليه اسم «فريق سكاي لكرة القدم» (بالإنجليزية: Football Club Sky)‏، وكانوا يلعبون الكرة نهار كل يوم أحد في منطقة «مونكلوا» الواقعة في مدريد.
