أمثلة عن possessive adjectives

هي صفات تدل على الملكية، ويأتي بعدها اسم شيء مملوك، مثلاً (شعري، سيارتي، كتبهم، كتابك..) وهي تختلف عن ضمائر الملكية، حيث أنها لا تأتي منفصلة وإنما متصلة باسم شيء مملوك بعدها، وهي:

• my/our/your/his/her/their تستخدم للعاقل
• Its تستخدم لغير العاقل 

مثال:

• My book is old   – كتابي قديم
• Your book is old – كتابك قديم
• His book is old   – كتابه قديم
• Her book is old   – كتابيها قديم
• Its house is old    – بيته, بيتها قديم (لغير العاقل)
• Our book is old   – كتابنا قديم    
• Your book is old  – كتابكم قديم
• Their book is old  – كتابهم قديم
• My friend is Ali – صديقي علي
• Our grandmother is coming to the house – جدتنا قادمة للمنزل
• Khaled has two cars, his cars are blue   – خالد لديه سيارتين، سياراته زرقاء
