Dua for your parents
Our parents are some of the most important people in our lives and we should dedicate time to make dua for them .
رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayani sagheera
My Lord, have mercy upon them (parents) as they brought me up [when i was] small.
Dua for the night of power
In a hadith, The Prophet s.a.w encouraged his wife Aisyah r.a. to read the following supplication if one were to meet Lailatul Qadar, the night that is better than a thousand months:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
“O Allah, You are indeed Forgiving and love to forgive, so forgive me.”
Although scholars have opinions regarding the exact date of the night of Lailatul Qadar such as it is in the last ten nights, the exact time, by the wisdom of Allah s.w.t remains to be His secret. Hence it is encouraged for every believer to recite the above supplication repeatedly every night in the nights of Ramadan.
