أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ حَامِدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الجْبَّارِ البُخَارِيُّ المَعْرُوفُ بِابْنِ النَّيَازِكِيِّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ فَأَقْرَّ بِهِ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا حَاجًا فِي صَفَرَ سَنَةَ سَبْعِينَ وَثَلاثِمِئَةٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَناَ أَبُو الْخَيْرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمِّدِ بْنِ الجَلِيلِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ البُخَارِيُّ الْكِرْمَانِيُّ الْعَبْقَسِيُّ البَزَّارُ سَنَة اثْنَتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ وَثَلاَثِمِئَةٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ المُغَيرَةِ بْنِ الأَحْنَفِ الْجُعْفِيُّ البُخَاِرُّي قال: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْعَيْزَارِ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيَّ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنَا صَاحِبُ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ، وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى دَارِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؟ قَالَ: الصَّلاَةُ عَلَى وَقْتِهَا، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيٌّ؟ قَالَ: ثُمَّ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيٌّ؟ قَالَ: ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي بِهِنَّ، وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْتُهُ لَزَادَنِي.

The story of Ahmed bin Hanbal

He refused marriage in order to devote himself to the service of his mother, so he did not marry until after she died and had reached the age of more than thirty years, so that no woman would enter the house. لما بلغ الخامسة عشرة من عمره، جاء إلى بغداد عالم كبير، وأقام في الضفة المقابلة لدار أحمد بن حنبل، وفاض نهر دجلة، وارتفع الموج حتى أدرك قصر الرشيد، فتركه إلى قصر بعيد، ولكن طلاب العلم هرعوا إلى الضفة الأخرى في الزورق، وأبى أحمد بن حنبل حين دعاه زملاؤه إلى العبور قائلا : أمي لا تدعني أركب الماء في هذا الفيضان، وترك العبور وعاد إلى أمه لتطمئن عليه .
وكم كان أحمد بارا لأمه ! لقد أبى الزواج ليتفرغ لخدمة أمه، فما تزوج إلا بعد أن ماتت وكان قد بلغ أكثر من ثلاثين عاما، لكيلا يدخل على الدار سيدة، أبى أن تنازع أمه السيادة على الدار .
لقد أدرك منذ نشأ أن أمه في سبيل توفير حياة كريمة له رفضت الخطاب من أجله، فحرص أن يعوضها، وبذل كل جهده في الدروس حتى حصل علوما ومعارف كثيرة في سن صغيرة معتمدا على نفسه .

feel proud of any help to my parents. In the morning I get ready myself for school. I keep books in school bag for day routine.
I water the plants on every Sunday. I also lock main entrance door and Garage everyday. I clean my computer and laptop when my Mummy says to do. I clean my clothes sometime when my parents remain busy. I serve glass of water and other little things; which my parents need. I also serve the guests with my Mummy.

In hospital I stand in queue instead of my parents. Above all I obey my parents at all times and responds their order as quick as possible. I do not make a fuss about their orders.
I leave my all works , if I found them tired for helping them. I respect and obey my parents rules. I never lie to them. I do anything with pride for my parents to make them feel proud.
